Be respectful of others, including not talking when others are talking.
Come prepared for class!
Do not use technology unless you are given permission.
No eating in class. (unless given prior permission; this would include all drinks except water)
Class:
Bi-weekly bell ringer; this is a quiz grade. All work should be in composition notebook, including original problem. If you are absent, write absent with the date (I will check!). Easy grade for the two week period. This will be handed in on the Friday I have you.
Make sure you write your name, date, and class period in the top right hand corner of your paper. No name, no grade. 5 pts. will be deducted for no name. If you fail to turn in an assignment, per school policy, there is a 50% deduction in grade. After that, you will get a zero, but I would still strongly advise you to do the work as you will still be quizzed and tested over it.
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up your work. Renweb will have the assignment that you have missed. You need to make up tests, quizzes, and other work within 5 days in order to receive full credit. After that, you can turn in or do the work, but it will be considered late. It is not your parents responsibility to schedule make-up tests or quizzes; you need to know when you can make up the work.
Come prepared for class and be ready to begin. Your bellringer will be up and you should at least copy it down to work on later if you do not get it done at the beginning of class.
Bathroom: Everyone uses it, but some abuse the privilege of going. Try to go between classes, or if it is the lunch period, go during lunch. If I notice a pattern of always having an emergency in my class, I will speak to you, and your parents, about your “problem”.
Extra credit will be given throughout the marking period. If you do all of your regular credit, the extra credit won’t matter as much.
Questions? Please let me know, and I will work with you. Don’t wait until the morning something is due or when we have a test to let me know you don’t understand. You may reach me at [email protected] or you may text me at 256-845-5555. You will get an answer from me (and usually pretty quick!)
